John J. Bettencourt, age 66 of providence, passed away at his home on June 22, 2012.

Born in Providence, he was the son of Mabel (Belanger) Bettencourt of Warren, RI and the late Anthony Bettencourt.

Before retirement a month ago, Mr. Bettencourt was employed with Tower Manufacturing.

He will be missed by many people.

Besides his loving mother, he is survived by his children, John Bishaw , Leilani Bishaw both of Providence, Shawn Bishaw of Coventry, Eric Bishaw of Cumberland, Amanda Bishaw of East Providence and Cindy Creel of Rehoboth, MA.

He was the brother of Ken Bettencourt of Warren and Jane Creel of Rehoboth, MA. He was also the brother of the late Robin Frerichs.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 from 3 to 5 pm, with a funeral service at 5 pm in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 331 Smith St., Providence.

Burial will be private.
