Marie Pucci

North Providence: Pucci, Marie (DePasquale) passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Providence, Rhode Island on October 28, 2012 at age 84. She was a resident of Marco Island, Florida and North Providence, Rhode Island. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years Judge Thomas D. Pucci.

She is also survived by her son John Pucci and his wife Angela Dalia, and her daughters Jeanne Dolan and her husband James, Joan Bennet and her husband Douglas, Marie McGovern and her husband Frank, Marian Pucci, and Mary Jane Euell and her husband John. She was the loving Grandmother (Nanna) to 16 grandchildren: Jocelyn (Pucci) Lanyi; Adrienne Pucci; Tom and Mary Dolan; Jeffrey, Matthew, and Jennifer Bennet; Claire and Grace McGovern; Jessica, Emily, Rebecca, and David Turco; and Andrew, Mark, and Rachel Euell. She was predeceased by a grandson, David John Turco.

She is survived by her two sisters, Beatrice Temkin and Eva Zito. She was predeceased by her parents, Judge Luigi and Marie (Michard) DePasquale.

She graduated from Classical High School and was a 1948 Cum Laude graduate of Bryant University. She was secretary to the Dean at Brown University when she met her husband in 1948.

She dedicated her life to being a devoted wife and mother. Marie was active at San Marco Catholic Church as a lector and Eucharist minister. She served as coordinator of volunteers to the Guadalupe Farmer’s Soup Kitchen and was active in several prayer groups and many support groups. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends in Marco Island and Rhode Island.

Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to St. Patrick’s Academy, 244 Smith Street, Providence, RI 02908.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial in celebration of her life at 11:00 AM on Saturday November 3rd at St. Patrick’s Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence, RI.
